Gosh, it has been very long since my last post. Too many things have happened since. Let me try...
Janavi
We just celebrated her 1st birthday by going to the temple on her actual birthday and having a birthday bash on 7 Feb at Moghul Mahal restaurant.
My little girl is growing up so fast! She has a grand total of 4 teeth. She started walking about 2 months before her birthday and now she does not want to stay still. Nothing escapes her eye and nothing is safe from her hands now. Even our pet dog Jasmine gets terrorised by her. hehehe My little explorer does keep us on our toes :) And she is quite the chatty little bird nowadays. She has learnt to entertain herself too :) We are so proud of our little baby.
For her 11th month birthday, we brought her to the Botanical Gardens and she so loved the greenery and fresh air. Planning a picnic at the beach next!
She has discovered a love for balloons, thanks to the ones we got for her birthday. Still dislikes drinking her milk but loves drinking water from a straw bottle. Can self feed, even thought she gets very messy. She has started showing a bit of unhappiness when we take away something that she is holding. She can identify her daddy and me and her grandma. She loves flipping through books and will start chanting, 'book book book'.
Loves: Music, dancing by bouncing up and down, eating fruit purees and custard, water (bathing, drinking and playing!), baby massage ( we have a song... massage massage baby :P), Elmo song and I love you Barney videos, pacifier which she refers to as BOO, loves dogs/animals and shows no fear, plants/flowers but once she gets her hands on them they don't stand a chance.
Dislikes: Sweet foods
No.2
Janavi is going to be a big sister! Baby no.2 is set to make an appearance in early May and I am terrified at the thought of undergoing another c-section...so hopefully we can have a natural birth this time round. We have so many things to get ready with about 11 weeks to go. It's gonna be one wild ride managing a toddler and a newborn. Surprising thing is, it seems like Janavi knows about the baby! Sometimes she will come over to me and pat/ lay her head on my tummy...
MIL
The sore thumb that can't be gotten rid of. Quite frankly, I am very exhausted with her attitude and nonsense. Even more so when she creates all the drama and then pretends to be innocent. I will always be the woman who stole her son away from her; never a family member. And I like it that way too... just keep out of my way and all will be well.
Family
All of us miss my dad a lot. Since his passing, it has been tough on all of us. We have depended on him for a great deal and no one can come close to replacing all that he has done for us. And no, time does not heal the wounds. It just confirms the fact that my dad is never coming back.
Ciao~
